Our Staff

Pastor Alan Arneson accepted the call and began serving Amery Free in December 2020. Prior to moving to the Amery community, he has been in parish ministry for over 30 years. He has served congregations in Illinois and northern Minnesota.

His post secondary education includes being a graduate of the Free Lutheran Bible College in Minneapolis, a BS in Business Administration from MSUM, Moorhead, MN and finally graduating from the Free Lutheran Seminary in Minneapolis in 1993. He and his wife Lisa have three grown sons, three beautiful daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.

He absolutely loves the local congregation and seeing lives changed for Jesus Christ through His Word. He loves spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, grilling, and gardening.
